November 2018, a Month for Nature Walks and Getting Into Still-Life Photography

Fall is my favorite season. I was always attracted to its colors and quality of light. These past few weeks I observed that something I liked about fall isn’t so much in the small details, but rather how everything comes together as a whole. For that reason, I chose to focus on scaling;  and the focal length I liked most was in the broader side,  so I kept switching back and forth between my 24mm F/2.8 lens and my 50mm F/1.4.

As the winter approaches, I become more interested in Still-Life photography. Still-Life, in general, has always been fascinating to me, and as I'm more aware of design, I find that Still-Life is incredibly challenging, whether it is in the form of a photograph or a painting. Something I’d like to do with my approach to still-life photography is creating enticing compositions that push me to seek more solutions when dealing with contrast, scaling, and light.
