With Art There's Never Right or Wrong, Only Determination

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_cUv4csQw1o] How the brain works have been always a mystery, and for the good of art, there's not a right or wrong way to do anything. As long as the artist is free to explore, his or her  achievements can certainly be unimaginable.

Interesting Video on Productivity

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHfjvYzr-3g?rel=0] Using actual objects as opposed to digital graphics, is a great way to really help the viewer concentrate on the message. Perhaps the main reason for this is that it "humanizes" the content as it simulates the presence of a living person delivering the message.

I was really impressed with this video. I really enjoyed the informal, stop motion-effect that's used to deliver the information. Looking at this video, one can really imagine the long process it may have taken to make something like this, and I imagine coordination comes very handy when editing the footage.

While I Still Can: Hats Off Gentlemen It's Adequate

[vimeo 56154977 w=500 h=281] I absolutely loved this video. I enjoy it because it's refreshing and reminiscent of  early music videos.

Ravinder Bhogal

[vimeo 55089940 w=500 h=281] I really can't tell what is my favorite thing about watching Ravinder Bhogal's videos, but since my blog must focus on art, design and creativity, then let's just say that I really like how her videos are shot.

The close ups and overall tonality are really enticing, just as much as her beautiful smile and way of explaining things.

Nothing like a Pencil

In response to living in an era of instant gratification, it seems that we as consumers are now more attentive to the creative process. Perhaps that's reflective of  how some brands are now adopting solid colors and simple forms, and even in some cases; like the Knicks,  for instance, are now embracing ideas that long ago were rejected.

I couldn't help feeling a special itch as I looked at these sketches by graphic designer Michael Doret, just looking at them made me want to reach for mine and play with hand lettering just like I used to do back in my high school days.

After reading about this story in Fast Company, I now realize that my computer should not always be the first resource to work with.

Art Videos by Sycra

"Talent to me is like having a head start, but you still have to run the same race".-Sycra

From all the information available online to  help me stay in tune with digital media, Sycra's channel is by far one of my favorites. I just have a lot of respect for that guy, his down to earth approach to teaching is what impresses me most of all. Watching Sycra in action is not only enjoyable and inspiring.

Lorenzo Jovanotti

[vimeo 29087154 w=500 h=281] Lorenzo Jovanotti  makes great music, I enjoy his music just as much as I enjoy his videos. I have a lot of respect for performing artists who think outside the box and aren't afraid to let things be a little raw.

[youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ku7ob7nDb9g&w=500&h=303] I enjoyed this video directed by  Leandro Manuel Emede and Nicolo Cerioni from Sugarkane Productions.  A simple, dark palette in contrast to air blowing never fails to  make a lasting impression on music videos; However,  what makes this video so striking, at least for me, is the speed variation effects along with the static camera. I take note of how the bridge of the song is highlighted through mystical reference using reflective effects and a variety of textures with splashes of saturated color.
