My family and I took a trip to Washington DC early in the spring. Apparently, they have had an early blooming season, so we hardly saw any of the cherry blossom trees that are very popular and near the tidal basin area. Nonetheless, we had a fun time, and Washington DC certainly is a place I’d like to visit again in the future.
The places my family and I got to admire were The Capitol Building, which was very impressive to see from the moment we arrived to DC in the morning. Other places we enjoyed seeing were the Supreme Court building, The United States Botanic Garden, The Washington Memorial, the Martin Luther King Memorial, The Lincoln Memorial, The Jefferson Memorial and the White House from a far distance. My personal favorite place was the National Gallery; needless to say, it was a great, eye-opening experience which I hope to live again.
The first thing I realized when I began to take pictures on this trip was that I wanted to focus as much as possible on the subject, so in most cases, I was very careful not to include too many people and eliminate distractions, and I attempted to do that with framing and focal length.
