I took another shot at editorial photography in a rental studio with CT model Franee Mills. (IG: effleighm). My initial concept revolved around the idea of classical art, like the work of French Neoclassical painter Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres and also Pictorialism Photography. On this shoot, I used my current set of strobe lights, a 180-watt, and a 300-watt strobe light. I enjoy shooting conceptual photography; working in a photo studio is very fun. It was months until I was able to set a photo shoot with a model and it felt very natural from the start.

As our photo session progressed, I began to play with different lighting techniques I had seen in some photography tutorials, which primarily consisted on using hard and ambient light as well as using my large parabolic umbrella for a white seamless background effect. My biggest setback was getting a blank roll of film from my Mamiya RB67!

A few years into learning studio photography continues giving me lots to think about after each shoot. I have not yet felt after completing a shoot that I matched my initial expectations, so more often than not, I end up feeling a craving for more and taking mental note of what I want to do on my next photo shoot.
