Back when I was in high school, I once asked a camera shop attendant how could I take more interesting pictures? and he said: “take the long way home”. Many years later, that response he gave has proven to be one of the best photography lessons I’ve received because it continues to resonate with me nowadays when I’m having so much fun working with a DSLR camera.
As I’m starting a new phase working with models and being somewhat limited for not having easier access to a studio, I now realize that working on location is turning out to be a wonderful experience that motivates me to keep my eyes open for textures, patterns and angles, and in turn, it’s allowing me to take pictures that seem more interesting to me.
